As an avid golfer, Salter is a former member of the Colorado Cup Team which is comprised of the best amateurs and the best professional golfers in Colorado. Jeff has won multiple Amateur and club Championships in Colorado. He is also one of the few that have made it to the finals in the Colorado State Amateur Match play Championship.
Salter's family is active in many sports and Jeff has regularly coached various youth athletics for most of his adult life. Jeff earned his B.A. degree in Marketing from California State University Fullerton where he received a full ride scholarship to play golf but considers his actual degree to be from the School of Hard Knocks.
The Salters annually conduct food drives for the Crossroads Baptist Church and is active with Make a Difference Day and the Westminster Adopt a Street program. He also volunteers his time and efforts for silent auction events benefiting the Make a Wish Foundation, a fundraising campaign for breast cancer research and Jeff devotes countless hours to youth athletics.
